This wine I've discovered when I read the history books of wine this time.

Windowrie Estate Woodbluck "SAKURA"Shiraz New South Wales
This wine, there is a Japanese story that has been taken prisoner during the Second World War in Australia(Cowra).
The Cowra breakout occurred on 5 August 1944, when at least 1,104 Japanese prisoners of war attempted to escape from a Prisoner of War camp near Cowra, in New South wales, Australia.

It was largest prison escape of world of war Ⅱ, as well as one one of the bloodiest.
During the ensuing manhunt, 4 Australian soldiers and 231 Japanese soldies were killed.
The remaining escapees were captured and imprisoned.

BUT.....Why they wanted escape??
At the time of the gurds soldier didn't understand " Why they wanted escape??".
There was also recreation free time of baseball and sumo. and so
The meal time, Japanese could eat also fish. And yet.....
Western and between Japan, there was difference of philosophy with respect to prisoners of war.
●The concept of Japanese society
A prisoners life of shame.
●The concept of Western
Honorable prisoner fought as representative.
It was a tragedy incidents from the difference of recognition.
However, the situation at that time didn't allow to publicly it, so that it was finally disclosed after the war.

Japanese soldiers was buried generous by the people of Cowra, after World war Ⅱ.
Furthermore, they made a Japanese Garden and Japanese Culture Center to deepen a friendly relationship with Japan to there.

They planted about 2000 cherry trees between 5km till Japanese Cemetery from Japanese Garden

And in Cowra New South Wales every year, there is the Sakura Festival in October.
This is the wine that was the cherry on the motif.
I tried it ......
My Personal impression...
Sweet and ripe fruit, little a bit spicy, A good balance of acid and tannin.(。◕‿◕。)
If you like wine, please try to it !! I would like to recommend that to you.
And so
I felt so that You can enjoy while enjoying from a different angle, If you know wine background. what do you think ?? hehe
